Fall is for Planting

August 13, 2009

This September at Landscapers Depot, our nursery is joining forces with Eaton farms. We will be having a great get together with lots of deals and free food! during the event we will also have the Eaton farms experts on hand to answer any questions that you have about planting in the fall.

A lot of people think that planting is only for the spring but they are wrong! Besides the advantages of a fall root growth season, plants set in the autumn have the added benefit of being able to begin spring root growth as soon as soil conditions are favorable. Trees, shrubs and perennials planted in fall have two seasons to establish their roots before the heat of summer. This results in an increase in the size and number of blooms on those plants that produce flowers or fruit.

So in short everyone is welcome to the event there will be plenty of food and knowledgeable people to go around!

the event will be held on September 11th,12th, & 13th.
